Black Ops Zombies Tips

When it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the "zombies" are the funnest part of the game, for me anyway. When I first started playing, I usually couldn't make it beyond level 3 or 4 without dying. This is because I hadn't used a few simple tricks to getting the power on and reaching the gas zombies.

USE YOUR KNIFE

This is the most common mistake that I made when I first started playing. Use the knife for the first three levels or more depending on your gaming ability. Here is a trick to knowing how many times you're going to have to stab the zombies to get them to die: 1 stab for each level. If you're on level two, it's going to take you two stabs to kill them; if you're on level three, it's going to take three stabs; however, this is all until you get "insta-kill", then even if you are on level 8, you should start cutting zombies, because it will only take one stab during the time period you have "insta-kill". 

Insta-kill looks like a little skull and you will hear a zombie whisper it once you've obtained it. It usually comes from killing a lot of zombies at once. You have especially hit the jackpot if you get both "insta-kill" and "double points", which looks like an "X2" at the bottom of your screen. Knife stabs should generate about 130 points per kill. Remember to back up after each stab, since the zombies will most likely swing at you if you don't kill them the first stab.

WEAPON CHOICE

Weapon choice is absolutely the most important thing for killing the zombies late into the game. You don't want to get your weapon too soon, I'd initially wait for level 4 to start using weapons for the reasons mentioned above. The weapon of choice should be the shotgun. It only uses two shells at a time, but one shot kills the zombies instantly, 99.9% of the time anyway. Wait until level 4 to buy the shotgun, or any other weapon for that matter.

PLAY SINGLE PLAYER

Double player makes it a lot harder on you. The screen is smaller, so you cannot view with good detail, you cannot buy a "revive" and two player revive just isn't the same since there can't be any zombies around whenever the 2nd player revives you anyway, or else the 2nd player will most likely get struck from behind.

BEWARE OF THE 6

If you've ever looked behind you on the wall to where you first start out in the lobby you will see "beware of the six" written in white paint. This is simply warning you from the level 5 "demon dogs" that are on fire and charge you at lightning speeds. The approach to beat them is actually more simple than than the zombies. 

Get back into a corner "usually where the revive machine is" and shoot in front of the dogs as they're charging towards you, this will give it enough time so that you hit the dog, because if you aim it at the dog, by the time you pull the trigger he's going to be in front of you. You usually won't see the dogs right at level 5 if you've already died and been revived once before level 5, so try to stay active for the first 5 levels.

REBUILD THE BARRIERS

These are perhaps the easiest points you can get and it is also better for you because you have more warnings of zombies coming through them rather than them just crawling out of opening spaces. There are four barriers that can be rebuild in a matter of seconds in the lobby. You can even shoot zombies and stab zombies while rebuilding the barriers. There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't rebuild those barriers.

The X-Ray move can do some serious damage and will reveal your opponents ruptured organs and broken bones. Although the X-Ray moves are not infallible and they can be avoided or blocked, they are pretty nice to see as it upholds the legacy of violence and brutality that Mortal Kombat is known for.

Even though the game can be played excitingly using the multiplayer mode, the single player mode which is known as the "Story" mode retakes the player into the original story of the trilogy. You will be immersed into a lot of fighting (80 plus matches) in order to save the realm of Earth from utter destruction. There are cut scenes in between the fights which are strangely can't be paused or skipped. These scenes are highly entertaining and fun to watch.

Gears of War 3 - What All Gamers Have Been Waiting For!

Gears of War 3 will be the next release of the storied Gears of War franchise that was supposed to be released on April 2011 but has been delayed. This game is now slated to be released on September 20, 2011. This will be the third installment of the Gear of War series and will wrap up the storyline.

Gears of War 3 is a 3rd-person shooter video game that was created by Epic Games and released exclusively for the Xbox 360 console with Microsoft Games Studios. For the first time since this series has been released, the game will feature a four-player co-op. Certain parts of the game also allow players to utilize fully controllable mech suits which are called silverbacks and are equipped with a rocket launcher and machine gun.

This latest release can be played in two operating modes. The assault mode will let you play by controlling the characters movements in a normal way, while the stationary mode is played with the character locked into a position with armor and cover.

The Gears of War 3 game will feature new enemies to battle with which include Locust and Lambent enemies. The new cast of Locust enemies include the Digger Boomer, the Kantus Knight, Savage Grenadier, the Locust Siege Beast and the return of the notorious Berserkers. New Lambent enemies include Lambent Stalks, Polyps, Drudges and Lambent Berserkers.

To help you defeat these powerful enemies, there are new additions in the weaponry which include the Digger Launcher which launches tiny digging creatures through the ground at very high speeds and then explodes. Other weapons include the Incendiary Grenades, the Sawed-off Shotgun, the Retro Lancer which is a lancer that has a bayonet attached to it, and the One Shot weapon which will enable you to kill multiple enemies in just one shot but is very heavy to carry and will slow you down.

Female contingents of the game will be happy to know that this game features there are three new female playable characters that will be introduced which are Anya Stroud, Samantha Byrne and Bernadette Mataki who is a character from the novels by Karent Traviss. The new playable characters for the 3rd instalment of this game will also include Griffin, the group leader of the Stranded which is a band of human survivors, and Jace Stratton who is an experienced soldier in battles which was already featured in the comic series and was mentioned in the previous game. Griffin will be voiced by Ice-T, the actress Claudia Black will do the voice for Samantha and the actor Michael Bakari Jordan will provide the voice for Jace.

Gears of War 3 also has a new mode called Beast mode. It is similar to the Horde mode that was in Gears of War 2 but the difference is that the players will attack COG members as a Locust creature. Players earn tokens each time enemies are killed which will in turn allow the players to upgrade their characters into a stronger Locust class. There are several known Locust classes which include the Tickers, Boomers, Digger Boomers, Wretches, Butchers, Berserkers, Kantuses and Kantus Knights. The creators of this game have also kept Horde Mode in the 3rd installment of the game.

The story for the game was written by acclaimed science fiction writer Karen Traviss. The story will answer the major questions that players have been trying to find answers to since the first game came out, including the history of the world and the things that are going on. The beginning of the story is set 18 months after the fall of Jacinto. The Gears have already moved to the island of Vectes. The Cog has already been disbanded and Sera's cities were infected causing the members of the Locust to mutate and become Lambent.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

One of the most popular games recently released is Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox and PS3 gaming consoles. This game has been a big hit ever since it was out in the market on November 9, 2010. It is a first-person shooter game that was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.

Black Ops is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty franchise but is only the third game to be developed by Treyarch. Black Ops is the first in the series on the Cold War but is the sequel to the Call of Duty: World at War game.

It has accumulated more than $1 Billion in sales in the first six weeks upon release. It has broken records set by its predecessor Modern Warfare by at least 2.5 million copies. Its popularity keeps on growing all over the world. In Japan, there were game releases with subtitles and dubbed versions 1 month after the game was released into the market.

Call of Duty: Black Ops enables a player to assume the role of a soldier with access to various firearms (at most 2 can be carried at anytime), use lots of explosives including grenades, and use various weapons. The game closely resembles an adrenaline-rush battlefield and employs a kill or be killed strategy. A player can even choose to kill an enemy using a knife with just one blow.

The game depicts a realistic take on how people who go into battle. Players can easily be controlled to jump, run and walk. A player's posture can also be controlled. For instance, a player can take in a standing, crouching, or prone stance. Each stance will affect the player's speed, stealth and accuracy. A player can run for a short time but will become tired.

The player's health is indicated on the screen which will turn red to show extensive damage. One of the exciting features of this game is that when a grenade is thrown, a marker that indicates the grenade's direction will appear which can help the player either flee or throw back the grenade as long as the player is within the radius of the grenade's blast. Aside from guns and explosives, other weapons that can be used in the game are ballistic knives, crossbows with explosive ammunition and bolts, and Dragon's Breath rounds.

A player can assume the role of various in-game characters in the course of the single-player campaign with lots of perspective changing all throughout the game. The characters that can be played belong to the Special Forces group who are conducting black operations inside enemy territory.

Call of Duty: Black Ops features plenty of scripted cinematic moments including a bullet time effect in the "Victor Charlie" stage which is activated when the player shoots toward the very last member of a Viet Cong squadron.

One of the best features in Black Ops is that it can be used to play multiplayer online matches with other people from around the world. Players are divided into two teams that have different missions. In Team Deathmatch, the objective is to have more kills than the other team while in Capture the Flag, the players need to take the other team's flag and bring it into their base. There is also the "Free For All" setting where its every man for them self, players are not divided into teams in this setting.

Black Ops already has 14 maps and additional downloadable maps. It still retains the unlockable reward system and experience points that have been with the franchise since the fourth game. It also has a "Zombie cooperation mode" which was originally included in the World at War game.

Winning a game becomes very difficult if you are having a bad time scoring points. It can be frustrating if you are playing someone that can score points, but you cannot score any of your own for whatever reason. You cannot expect to just push the button and watch the ball fall into the hoop. Good timing, an open look, and an NBA2k strategy are all required to be successful. 3-point shots require even more precision and attention. You will also need a smooth release for lay-ups and for dunks.

To begin with, it is a good idea to be familiar with the controls and feel comfortable with the controller. The ball has a very good chance of going in every time if your release is well timed. At the top of your jump is the best place to release the ball. You can practice it in practice mode to get the hang of it. The computer will notify you whether your shot late, early, or on time.

Lay-ups and dunks should not be left out of your practice session. In most cases, you can start a lay-up or dunk from just beyond the free throw line. You have to be careful of defenders because your shot will be deflected if you are careless. Also, a players attributes have a lot to do with what they do in the paint. Also, if your timing is not just right, the ball may just bounce off the rim.

3-point attempts are the most difficult to succeed with. Only players with a good 3-point attribute will make this shot consistently. The player also must have a good look for you to have the best chances of it going in.

If you are able to incorporate more than just a couple players in your scheme, then you will be more difficult to beat. It will be easier to score if you pass the ball often. Passing the ball also makes it easy to find holes in the defense. Also, try drawing fouls by attacking a defender under the basket.

Always look for the quick pass to a teammate under the rim. This could set up a fast lay-up or dunk. However, it is not good to force a pass because they can be stolen by the defense.

Setting picks is a good strategy for getting open looks for a player. Calling a player for one is usually done with the trigger buttons. You can also run a play from the old fashioned playbook. The option of running behind a nearby teammate is also available. The videogame is surprisingly realistic. The gameplay is pretty close to that of real life. You just have to know your way around the controller and feel good about the controls.
